About Piera Maria

Piera is a Consciousness Teacher, E-RYT® 500 and YACEP® Certified Yoga Instructor with over 2,500 teaching hours. She is also certified in Yin and Sub-Yoga, Meditation, Pre and Post-Natal Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Mindfulness. She is also a Reiki and Massage Therapist.

Piera worked at a top rated Yoga School in Bali, Santosha Yoga Institute. Not only was she one of the Head Instructors for the Yoga Teacher Trainings, She also co-developed many of the online courses that Santosha still proudly serves today.

Piera owns a Dance Movement Studio – Soul Studio NZ to share her passion. As well the healing properties of sound and vibration have always been known to Piera, so in 2024, she completed her Level 1 Crystal Singing Bowls and Level 2 Crystal Singing Bowls

My Journey to Consciousness

Living Your Best Life

2009

After 3 years of training in Switzerland she graduated in 2009 as an Exercise Educator (Movement and Dance Teacher) including Therapeutic Gymnastics with an emphasis on Anatomy and Physiology.

2012

She opened her Movement Studio in Kaikoura, New Zealand, sharing her passion with the vision of welcoming any form of movement, self-expression, and self-explorative styles, including working one-on-one with traumatized teenagers/young adults.

2019

Piera traveled to Indonesia for four years to educate the new generation of yoga teachers. She taught yoga teacher training at one of the biggest Yoga Schools in Bali – Santosha Yoga Institute. Her main focus was on philosophy and subtle practices.

2024

Piera together with her love and life partner started a new venture. They started her YouTube channel, Piera Maria Conscious Living. The aim of this channel was to give back to the world by creating a free library of meditations, affirmations, motivations, and practical tools to live a more conscious and happier life

Who is Piera Maria

Piera Maria was born in Switzerland and was raised commuting between Switzerland and New Zealand. She came into this world with a love for movement and had already started dancing in her childhood, finding that movement was one of her portals to connect to her core and soul. At the same time, her Mother encouraged her to see beyond just the physical reality and trained her intuition and metaphysical perception from the day she was born. At as young as three years old, she would assist her Mother in energetic healing practices.

From her vast experience teaching for over a decade and creating online courses for her past employer, she now took the step to create her own courses to offer to you. All of the courses Piera offers are designed to help you step into the best version of yourself and equip you with tools needed in your everyday life to regulate your nervous system and live a life of joy and ease. Piera Maria also offers limited spots of one-on-one mentorships, wholeheartedly supporting you in your unique journey.

Life is Special – Love Your Life

I am in a wonderful relationship with the love of my life. We also have a wonderful dog, Balu, who has traveled the world with us. Most mornings, we take the time to go on a little adventure together, enjoying mother nature. My friends and family are the coolest bunch of uplifting people. I love spending time with them. Having inspiring conversations with my tribe and strangers on the street is something that truly uplifts me.

The ocean is one of the most important places for me to recharge, whether catching some waves or watching my partner surf. My geek side is that I love studying, constantly learning, and unlearning. What I know is the more I know, the more I know nothing. I love food, and sitting down to a beautiful meal makes me very excited. And what would life be without music?

As much as she loves all forms of movement, the inward journey is the key to her well-being and a non-negotiable part of her daily practice. Piera is an advocate for helping people to integrate practical tools she has gained over the last decade into their daily lives. These tools help bring the nervous system back into homeostasis and, through that, release stress.

What Fills My Cup

Morning Practice

I like to start my days by moving my body in an organic way and from there, finding stillness for my meditation practice.

Moving My Body

No matter if I am going for a walk, diving into the ocean, hiking up a mountain or strolling on the beach. Moving my body is vital to me.

Quitting My Mind

Daily meditation practice is one of my non-negotiables. This allows my mind through my breath to come to ease.

Finding Gratitude

I start and finish my days by finding gratitude in both small and big things. This lifts my vibration throughout the day.

Inspiring Conversations

A deep philosophical conversation with a real human connection, whether we are exploring complex concepts or light and funny subjects.

Friends and Family

My tribe is filled with exceptional human beings that light up my soul on a daily basis. This is my blood family and my chosen family.
